Democrat Martha Coakley conceded the race for the US Senate of MA in record time. In fact, it was so quick there may qualify for an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Senator John Kerry released a statement stating he was proud of Coakley for conceding so fast – lol! I always thought politics was about tenacity, desire to win, all’s fair in love, war, business and politics, etc.
Well, Coakley concedes and has probably done her political career no good. In fact, who knows where it will go now.
Boston (CNN) – Democrat Martha Coakley called Republican Scott Brown Tuesday night to concede in the Massachusetts special Senate election, CNN Chief National Correspondent John King reports.
“She congratulated Scott Brown on the campaign and wished him well in the very consequential days he has ahead as he goes to Washington to take the seat that Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal icon, held for 46 years,” King said, reporting from Brown’s Election Night gathering.
