New, from Microsoft’s education labs and development, comes software that is supposedly going to revolutionize the classroom. At least, it’ll save a few trees from destruction… The company has just announced a ‘Math Worksheet Generator’ where teachers can create… Math Worksheets, and email them to their students to solve. In addition to this Worksheet Generator, Microsoft has announced two other programs, which will help students be more efficient in learning.

The generic sounding program is actually quite handy however, with the program detecting the type of problem being asked, and will randomly generate a sheet, using a series of complicated algorithms, and it even provides an answer sheet to the questions it generates.  Teachers can use this tool to create worksheets for a class, or specifically for one individual.

Another program being released by Microsoft’s Education Labs, is the Folder Based Sites system. It allows teachers to change Office 2007 documents into .html files, which are then sent to Microsoft, which are hosted as web-pages, for free. Currently, there are trials for student uploads as well.
Finally, Microsoft Education Lab’s final piece of software is a flash-card maker. This product allows you to create and browse flash

card decks and create favorites with your Windows Live ID. Teachers can create decks, and add images, text, and sound to them. The decks are then published, and students can then access them through Silverlight 3. Intriguingly, questions which students get wrong appear more frequently, allowing students to truely learn from their mistakes.
