Xbox 360 failure rate as high as 54%

A Game Informer survey of 5,000 readers found that the Xbox 360 has a mind blowing 54.2% failure rate. Sony’s Playstation 3 had a failure rate of 10.6% and Nintendo’s Wii had a failure rate of 6.8%; both significantly better than the Xbox.

Also according to the survey, about 41% of those Xbox 360 owners who has already experienced their first failure will experience a second hardware failure after sending their console back to Microsoft for repair.
