Web Messaging Interface (Shiny eh?)

For those who live outside the United States, there is a instant messaging program other than ‘Windows Live Messenger’. And yes, just because they’re unheard of, it doesn’t mean that it’s inferior to WLM. In fact, it easily is a lot better than WLM, firstly because it’s not a Windows product, and secondly, because it can incorporate multiple chat clients without losing their functionality, perhaps even improving them (Yahoo, WLM, Skype, ICQ, etc.)

Apart from this, Trillian Astra is unfortunately a ‘Pay for extra features’ sort of application. There is a freeware version of Astra released, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have many important features that the paid version has, such as Webcam support, Multiple File Sending support, and a limited messaging History viewer.

Check it out at it’s official site, but currently, the site doesn’t

have a link for a free download at this point in time.
