A few days ago, Joe wrote an article expressing his views on why student’s prefer Macbooks than Windows notebooks. In this post, I’d like to express my views:

Pros of Macbooks:

Cool Factor: Don’t you just love that shiny Apple logo on the back? College students love products with modern and slim design.

User Experience: In my opinion, the Mac is more user friendly than Windows. It’s more refined, easier to use and safer. Also, I think the there’s also the iPod influence. Nearly every student own one and love it.

Creative Side: Young people love doing creative stuff like editing photos and making a movie. You can do all this using Apple’s iLife suite which is available on every Mac. Perfect.

Good Deals: The Mac is not cheap. But Apple does a very good job marketing their products by offering education discounts and bonuses such as the free iPod touch with every

Macbook for students.

Cons of Macbooks:

Cost: The cost of a Mac is more expensive than a PC. Sure you can argue that Macbooks are better in terms of quality and that it is well worth it. But the thing is that if the buyer cannot fork out the cash, then he or she won’t buy it!

Gaming: College students love gaming. There aren’t too many games available on the Mac. Full stop.
