Microsoft sent memo to PC manufacturers in Europe that IE 8 will not be installed with the OS installation. They can chose whether to use Firefox , IE 8, Safari but must be pre-installed on PC’s. Now I don’t know how that will work out for those that just buy Windows 7 Installation disks but I guess there will be a way.

I mean first of all Windows 7 should have IE8 because without it you can’t really get Windows Updates from Microsoft website. Have you tried going to windowsupdate.microsoft.com with Firefox lately?
