See when apple is talking about engineering it’s fine but numbers not that much. Checkout iPhone 3G S specs that leaked recently.

At the WWDC Apple just said it’s faster due to OS improvement but have not mentioned above hardware information. Typical for Apple to hide stuff before the iPhone 3.0 OS release.
