Its not toothache because normally when we talk about tooth disease most people take it just the one and only disease which is not actually a disease but a pain. Which can be recover with a medicine. The disease which i am going to discuss here is about inflammation of the gums and bones. Its call periodontal disease, an inflamma¬tion of the gums and in the bone supporting them, is a major cause of tooth loss. It is caused by bacterial plaque that builds up and sticks to the teeth at and below the gum line.

Swollen, bleeding gums and bad breath mark the first stage of the disease, called gingivitis. This stage is painless and, unfortunately, many people do not seek treatment.. Although Bad breath is another dental terminology, but it supports majorly this disease, Periodontal can be because of careless ness and it is normally because of parents , as it’s an inheriting disease like glaucoma an eye disease, and lots of other diseases which are transferred from parents to Childs by nature.

As the disease progresses, the sup¬porting bones and ligaments are affected. The gums recede, creating gaps between the teeth, which even¬tually fall out.

People with diabetes

and those who smoke or chew tobacco are at increased risk of gum disease.

However, everyone is at risk; an estimated 75 to 80 percent of Americans have some form of gum disease.

Occasional bleeding when you brush or floss is an early sign of gum disease. However, with good care, it won’t take long to get your gums back to normal. Brush and floss your teeth every day; and fol¬low the prevention guidelines.

Prevention
• Have your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year by a dentist or denial hygienist.

•Eat crunchy foods that naturally clean the teeth (apples, carrots, and other raw vegetables) and foods with ample vitamin C, like citrus fruits and broccoli.
