Install Adobe Air on Ubuntu or Linux

Few instructions on how to install Adobe Air on Linux (Ubuntu) and Tweetdeck as well as Twhirl Twitter clients.

First you need to install Adobe Air from (here) , make sure the file ends with .bin extension.

  1. Open terminal and navigate to the bin file you downloaded.
  2. Type chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin (or filename.bin)
  3. Type sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin (or filename.bin)

That’s it.

Installing Tweetdeck or Twhirl

  1. Go to Twhirl.org or Tweetdeck.com
  2. Download the air file(s)
  3. Run air files and install it with Adobe Air
  4. Easy huh?
