how to get iphone out of bricked
hold power/and home button for 15 sec
and hold the power button for 2 sec do that 3-4 times your iphone will reboot
like mine

i'ma just wait in tell 3.0 comes out 0n itunes

FIRST MAKE SURE U HAVE ITUNES 8.2 (U MUST HAVE IT)
SECOND GET YOUR UDID NUMBER AND GET ON A DEV. TESTER LIST (COST 5-10 BUCKS)
THEN DOWNLOAD THE 3.0 FIRMWARE
THEN IN ITUNES HOLD OPTION AND CLICK CHECK FOR UPDATE AND CHOOSE THE FIRMWARE U DOWNLOADED
THEN ALL SHOULD WORK FINE
IF THERE IS A UPDATE, THEN THE PERSON DV LIST U ARE ON SHOULD SEND THE UPDATE TO YOU

I was a genius and bricked my iphone 2 days ago and was stuck until i found the website that i linked to my name above, just click on my name to go there. They had me up and running in no time and i now have complete access to their Apple developers account with my own user ID and password. It was worth it, just my 2 cents for anyone who is in the same boat i was.

Just to clarify some of the confussion going on in here.
The OS 3.0 Beta requires activation and requires a *paid* Apple Developer account.
You will probably be able to install the file in this torrent on your phone but will not be able to get past the activation without a paid iPhone ADC account (different from Mac ADC) or have some else register your phone serial number under theirs.
There is no “offline” way of activating this (at least for now)

So am I understanding this correctly.. Unless you have the Dev acct, you can’t sync with your itunes library or info with this beta? Don’t know if this makes sense.. I’m itching to download and install it now, but that’s huge if I can’t put my music/movies on it! Thanks all!

Okay got my phone back!
1) Enter DFU mode with the iPhone
2) Restore to 2.2.1, and receive Error 1013
3) Reset iPhone by holding Home and Power for 15 seconds, release and hold Power for 2 seconds
*NOTE* at this point I was actually able to access my phone without jailbreaking it *NOTE*
4) Open QuickPWN, enter DFU and let QuickPWN do all the work.
5) Be glad you still have an iPhone and not a brick =)

Live Crunch I did the downrestore and it gave the 1013 error. It is now sitting on the plug into itunes screen, and quickpwn doesn’t see it, any ideas?

Thanks Live Crunch, I’m going through it right now, I’ll post back with my result, also for those that haven’t tried it, 3.0 will not work with, or without the internet active, which was expected, well it didn’t work for me at least. Has anybody successfully installed 3.0 without a Dev Account?

Its not too appealing to see an Apple disclaimer that tells you that you cannot get back down from 3.0, however DFU mode should take you right back, any thoughts on this?

I tried holding ‘apple’ and ‘option’ on my macbook when clicking update in iTunes. I was able to then search for the ispw file but iTunes said it was incompatible. Any Help?
