Many women are working right now. This is to escape the patriarchal orientation of society. Women start to break free and become independent or career women. Like the men, women now don’t leave their careers after getting married or giving birth. This only goes to prove that women of the new age know how to balance both career and home life. There seems to be just not enough time for the woman of the new age. However, this doesn’t mean that they have to neglect their families.

You may be one of the women who are busy with their careers. You might be in the height of the corporate hiatus. And you may have all the gold you could have. This responsibility should never get in the way with your relationship with your family, especially with your children. For sure you can never afford to have a successful career but a failed motherhood. Being the homemaker should still be number one in your priorities and sure it still is!

Why don’t you begin with improving your homes? Maybe you have been working too much and you don’t notice that the vase that was given as your wedding gift had been broken, that the kid’s room is a mess, that your daughter’s doll and stuffed toys are in need of a good wash, or that your husband’s shoes are starting to worn out. Even if you are working, you can still do things to make sure you don’t neglect your obligation as a mother to your kids and as a wife to your husband. Fix the broken things in your home and tighten the bond between you and your family! How?

There are as many ways as there are stars in the Milky Way. You can go crafty and fix the broken vases, paint the wall of the kid’s room, make colorful quilts for the side table; you can also make a garden in the porch or in the backyard and ask the kids to help you out; and perhaps the easiest is just ask everyone to help you out

during the weekend in cleaning the house. You could also check out some magazines for new and easy to make items like scrap books, make-your-own trinkets and let your kids help you out. Rearrange the furniture and refresh your home with a big bunch of fresh flowers placed in a vase. This may be little things that you can do but they really work.

You can turn your house into a wonderful home by just keeping your cool and keeping the bond tighter each time. Go on be a successful woman and still be the best mother and wife. Don’t let your job get in the way, build a wall between you and your family. Be the best homemaker in your simple activities. Notice a quantum leap in the bond between you and your family.
