Back in 1992 when I was 12 years old I use to play around with my cousins and then war started (ex-yougoslavia). Each family of mine went to some country, I was in Germany for 7 years then I moved to United States in 2000.
Some of my family went back to Bosnia, Slovenia etc. I lost contact to my father, my brother and all of my cousins (8 of them).
Now here is how I found them and how they found me!
Facebook brought my family back together:
Via Last name I found out that my step mother was on Facebook! So I got in contact with her and my father, then I found email from my brother so I searched FB for that email and that way I found my brother!
And not too long ago! My four cousins found ME via Facebook!
I wanted to share this story because:
How long lost family was found via one Social Network site!
I could of searched phone books etc but most of my family keeps phone numbers and addresses private.
Btw there is more to it , I just wanted to cover the main point, how social networks can help you find things you loved the most. Social Networks are not just to chat with others, find love, distribute news content.
