Find Out which Mobile Companies Switched To Android OS

by Live Crunch on December 10, 2008

Yesterday 14 companies such as Sony Ericsson joined OS Android (Open Handset Alliance). What does this mean? Well for one Nokia and Microsoft are going to have less clients building phones with their operating system. Android has been acknowledged as somewhat cheaper, yet better operating system then Microsoft Mobile or Symbian OS.

These are the 14 new members of Android:
AKM Semiconductor Inc., ARM, ASUSTek Computer Inc., Atheros
Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International Inc., Huawei
Technologies, Omron Software Co. Ltd, Softbank Mobile Corporation, Sony
Ericsson, Teleca AB, Toshiba Corporation and Vodafone.

Word is out that we will see more cell phones with Android OS in Mid – 2009.
