If you get the error, try restarting your computer. it worked for me..

I restarted my computer, is it supposed to automatically download onto my ipod so I have the apps icon on my ipod?

I don’t think I can restart this laptop any more than what I have done to get rid of this dadblasted error message ‘Unknown error occured. The Ipod “Ipod” could not be updated (0xE000013)” How do I get rid of this message??? In addition, my Ipod is still not updated!!!

mine now freezes on the usb to itunes page and itunes dosent see it. all this happened after it failed to update. Can anyone help or is this a trip to the apple shop?

you upgrade for free through iTunes.

I reolved my issue, i had to re install iTunes and then it started to recognise my iPod so i then had to perform a restore. before it restored though it upgraded my software to 2.2

ok….umm if it says error when you try to uprdate your ipod touch hold shift and click resotore find the 2.2 firmware that u downloaded and there you go :) worked for me

the reason your itunes is erring when you try to update is because your using itunes 8 uninstall 8, download and install 7.7 that will take care of it

no u dont need to uniistall 7.7 u need to make a new users account then download the link on tht one then do shift + restore

if want to jailbreak 2.2 version of ipod ill tell u the method step by step first download quickpwn then u need to plug ur phone or itouch in then open quickpwn tht will leed u
