I know what you are saying. Feel the same when I'm checking my RSS feeds. Everybody seems to be rehashing the same content over and over. And frankly I am sick of it too. If you like something you can write it up on twitter or social bookmark it, but just ripping some content and posting it on your blog is not the way to go. Put your thinking hat on and get creative or die.

I'm not a tech blogger per se, but I did post about the G1. Here is my T-Mobile G1 review, or should I call it "preview." Thanks.

Unfortunately, it seems that the natural evolution of informational media is to beat dead horses, because it is what attracts readers. Fundamentally, I think it is simply driven by economics. The vast majority of tech bloggers are seeking quick ways to drive traffic. To do that they just blog about popular gadgets and sites, even if there are better alternatives out there.

"Same thing with media, they rather roll 24/7 videos how Paris Hilton is going to Jail than what is actually happening in World."

Ugh. Once again, someone who is telling us that the media would rather talk about Paris than something happening in Paris. You know what, it's just not true. I work in TV and not everything is "OMFG What did Paris do today." There's a time and place for stuff like that, like a 4 hour long morning show which needs stuff like that to act as filler material, but I challenge you, sit down and watch an evening newscast on one of your local stations... As long as you're not sitting in LA, you'll probably see real news for 99% of the show.

On the Apple iPhone vs Google G1:

IMHO Apple is more of a religion than company. Google is close but not to same level as Apple. And the G1 doesn't excite to the level that Apple.

On why bloggers act more as thermometers rather than thermostats:

I think the response to focus on one or two products is completely natural and efficient- there are so many companies out there (how many twitter copycats are there out there, too many) and in the end economics can't support all of them, particularly when the key to their success is realized when they develop critical mass and put the other co's out of business (refer to what happened to search engines 10 yrs ago, automobiles 100 yrs ago, etc).

Yea, all this iPhone hype is just ridiculous. I can't stand the system, if only because it uses iTunes. That's what the non-mainstream media is for usually, but even the blogs are failing when it comes to going beyond the iPhone.
