Ipod Touch 2.0 and 2.1 Free Firmware Download Links

I noticed many people want to upgrade their Ipod Touch to Firmware 2.1 but here is the resolution on how to do that. First you need to get Ipod Touch 2.0 which you can download (here).

UPDATE: Download 2.2 Now

To upgrade to 2.0 Firmware open iTunes 8.0+ Hold the SHIFT key and hit the Upgrade

button or in some cases restore button.

Find the file you downloaded, and start upgrading.

After you upgraded to 2.0 ,

• close iTunes
• unplug your Ipod Touch
• plug in your Ipod Touch back
• open iTunes
• Navigate to Ipod Touch and click Upgrade

That will download the 2.1 firmware and upgrade your Ipod Touch to 2.1
