I wanted to share some guest posts with you, that I received over the past few days. This is Guest Post by Nate also known as Drivenmg about Network Organization.
I’m all about organizing but if you ever so my house you’d think other-wise. I’m all about syncing up my Google Calendar with Outlook and my BlackBerry. Setting up groups for each social network for contacts. I’m determined to have all my networks and contacts streamlined to a point where my messages can be spread throughout the web.
Easier said than done.
Granted there are TONS of sites out there that promise you that they’ll sync your
and whatever else they have. This is seen at FriendFeed which in all honesty it’s not bad. However, I don’t want to go to a website to input information. I want the website to come me. I’m currently checking out Digsby which has been rather interesting. Great interface so far and am definetly digging the way they’ve integrated my Gmail/Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn/IM’s as well. While there are some things I’d change personally, overall I’d defiantly recommend it.
One big thing I’ve been searching for is project and contact management over the web. Sure I can use OneNote and share GoogleDocs/Calendars but after awhile it just becomes too much. I need a one stop shop for this!
So I put the word out on twitter and got a few replies one of which was JobBlogs . WOW! Talking with development they’ve been working on this project for two years and it shows. It doesn’t even feel like a website rather like my desktop and the features alone will make you want to sign up and after viewing the demo videos I’d be hardpressed to find a reason why not to join. While they just released this month and have still have to work out some bugs if you contact them via twitter you’ll pretty much get an instant response regarding any problems. That’s what I call support! My suggestion take it for what its worth (if anything) is join up with JobBlogs before they start charging and no I’m not affiliated with them AT ALL.
I know there are TONS of other online services that have some of what I’ve mentioned however, these are FREE and I am all for FREE!
Happy organizing!

I like Evernote a lot better than Google Notebook or any other service for note taking.
I have a Firefox plugin, the desktop application and online access (which syncs to the desktop app)… and they are FREE! There’re also a couple of bookmarklets available, too.
I like Evernote because it is easy to use, recognizes handwriting, accepts HTML formatting and more. And it’s free!
