Diggers vs Stumbleuponers Traffic

I was always wondering if Digg Traffic is better then Stumbleupon traffic. But looking at few stats from other blogs Stumbleupon always beat the Digg traffic no matter what the topic is about. But the main difference is also what kind of traffic are you getting is it traffic that just pass by or become loyal visitor.

Stumbleupon - Usually visitors stumble websites of interest and more people bookmakr or subscribe to RSS feeds.

Digg - Diggers most likely check out website, find out that article/picture/video is , funny, horrific, true, lie and digg it, but does not bookmark or subscribe to rss feeds.

Diggers, Stumblers don’t take this to personal its just an experience I had and what statistics show on other blogs data.

Digg Vs Stumble Traffic Experiment - SU Won

Digg Vs Stumble Traffic Experiment 2 - Digg Won

Digg Vs Stumble Traffic Experiment 3 - Digg Won

Digg Vs Stumble Traffic Experimetn 4 - Digg Won

While some bloggers use such experiments to gain traffic , I want to compare what social networking website is better when it comes to usability. Digg for me is to hard to submit stuff yet better when it comes to finding stuff I am interested in.

Anyways I just want to say that both sites are cool and love to use them on daily basis, what’s your opinion?

  1. StumbleUpon is great for small bloggers because you can get some traffic with just a few thumbs up whereas you need way more for Digg.

  2. In my experiance, I get more traffic from stumble, but it’s not sticky. I also get less comments from stumblers.

I was a stumbler long before I started a website and I know from my own habits that if I’m stumbling, its because I’m bored. If the site doesn’t immediately peak my interest, I’m on to the next one. Digg however seems more community based and people who go to you’re site based on recommendations from friends in their friends list, seem more invested.
