According to the data released by Net Applications, Cuil’s market sharing is only 0.01 percent. Cuil was launch in July 2008. Looks like the over hyped search engine (named as the Google Killer by some people) is not doing so well.

Automattic acquires IntenseDebate

Automattic (The company behind Wordpress) has acquired IntenseDebate. IntenseDebate is a blog commenting plugin that works on almost every blogging platform. Automattic also acquired Gravatar in 2007 and BuddyPress in early 2008.

Apart from a commenting system, IntenseDebate also includes profiles for commenters and spam control. Some of IntenseDebate’s competitors are JS-Kit, SezWho, and Disqus, all of which have a very similar feature set.
