Twitter Only Allows 2000 People to Follow

by Live Crunch on August 12, 2008

Days of following 20.000+ people on twitter is over! Twitter limited following to 2000 people now, the logic behind is to reduce spammers and network improvement. Sites like twitterholic which counted followers and following might have to shut down or switch to some other statistics algorithm. Question I ask Twitter founders is , if they are going to start charging for “Pro or Premium” accounts, if somebody wants to add more then 2000 twitters?

I think this kinda sucks. They should prevent spammers some other way.

@Michael: Turns out that twitter changed their mind, and only target so called spammers.. and not all of us.
