Switching From Internet Explorer To Firefox

This might be longer post then most you have seen on LiveCrunch. Firefox has been around of a while now, I remember using Internet Explorer when I am on my Windows laptop and Mozilla when I was using my Red Hat Pc at home or work. At that time I was just wondering will anyone come up with something like tabs so I don’t have to open 15 windows in order to be fully synced with my social life on internet. Just few months later Firefox came out with tabs and I still did not bother updating because for some odd reason I still liked my way of browsing internet and performing my daily job duties. That didn’t take long, I downloaded Firefox and started browsing, first thing I notice was the performance was bad, memory sucked and browsing was not fun because most of the websites were all crunched or not working correctly. To make post short, my point is I switched to Firefox long time ago and don’t plan going back to Internet Explorer or Using Safari on my Mac. I am devoted user of Firefox and whoever opens Internet Explorer at work I slap them. What about now when IE is coming with version 8? Well what? Nada!

I am still going to be devoted to Firefox because its just best browser I have ever experienced browsing with.  What about you?

  1. I switched to firefox long time ago…. I use to have Opera installed as well because it’s so tiny and lightweigh. However with the Firefox 3 the Google Browser sync is not supported anymore. I have 2 computers to sync and Still I’m looking to find a solution to sync the bookmarks + passwords for my online communitis etc….

  2. @Vladan Have you tried the Foxmarks plugin to sync your bookmarks?

I think Firefox 3 is great, but for some reason it is having issues keeping me logged into some sites. Of course I’m not talking about any sites that could be potentially harmful if I stayed logged on, but still the same I would want it to keep me on.

I like FF3, Safari and for some things, when I’m on my PC, IE.

  3. I switched to FireFox a long time ago and have not looked back.

I only use IE if I have to get my windows updates or if I am checking compatibility with my websites. I have played with Opera before and I do like it but it just doesn’t have the same extensions as FireFox.
