Ipod Touch 2.0 Upgrade is avaliable via iTunes but link is not working. Lets wait another hour or two and will see if that will change. I bet it has to do with time in California (Currently 5:31). I think upgrade will be available at 8AM PDT.

This is the error I get:

UPDATE: Weird thing happen right after I published this post, I? closed my iTunes and open it again. Now I get different message “Check for an update again on 7/17/2008″ does that mean Ipod Touch 2.0 Upgrade will be available next week?

Nope, it just means that iTunes will automatically check again in a week.

That date is a suggestion. I have automatic check for an update and mine says: “Your iPod software is up to date. iTunes will automatically check for an update on 7/16/08.”

I’ll keep pressing that “Check for Update” button every minute!

@live_crunch: thank you!! Trying your link of the Apple server (12 kbps) and the torrent file (70 kbps) ;-)

I had the same error. But when I updated my iTunes to 7.7, it worked. And the upgrade went perfectly on my iPod Touch. Try it. You can download the iPod Touch update from torrent sites also. They’re available there.
