Intel HP and Yahoo – Global Cloud Computing Research

Here is the official release by BusinessWire of what Intel HP and Yahoo had in mind. My ex-boss was not too far off which I think he was talking more in technical terms then describing of what it is. Global Cloud Computing Research was the top secret of all news. Which I told you it’s not like a big deal I mean come on, like we haven’t heard anything like that before.

“Intel Corporation and Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO) today announced the creation of a global, multi-data center, open source test bed for the advancement of cloud computing research and education. The goal of the initiative is to promote open collaboration among industry, academia and governments by removing the financial and logistical barriers to research in data-intensive, Internet-scale computing.”
