Wonder Why Twitter is Buying Summize

Blogshpere is talking about Twitter buying Summize. An API developed website that tracks/search Twitter Timeline and more. I really wonder why would somebody (twitter) spend money when they could build and promote same website for a lot less. I understand buying website that has potential to increase traffic like google bought double click or youtube. But Twitter & Summize I don’t get it!

I wonder what they have to say, ill go and ask them!
