Jim Cicconi at a Westminster eForum on Web 2.0 this week in London said that amount of people uploading videos will cost nearly 19 billions of dollars to maintain their network in next three years.

Video streaming-broadcasting and uploading videos to services like YouTube now even Flick takes bunch of bandwith. I agree with Jim ISP’s will have to provide better bandwith and companies that serve such services will have to upgrade their servers.

I

use to work at 8th largest ISP in United States (Mediacom) as Network Engineer and to be honest upgrading network with billions is too much , few millions is enough to get every subscriber happy with their bandwidth. As far as the storage goes ATT should not complain! get one of the BroadBus(Now owned by Motorola) and Tandberg boxes that has capacity of 180TeraBites+ of storage will serve enough of YouTubers.
