Twitter and Blogsphere Post Explosion

I don’t know what’s going on but many bloggers are writing posts regarding Twitter and “twitter follow me”.Blogsphere is talking about twitter like never before, almost every blog I visit on daily basis is talking about twitter.
Why?
Twitter is not bad, I think it helps people remember what they did that day, and also it’s sort of social networking, where people see what you just tweeted. I have few followers and also few that I follow.
