Microsoft wants to build applications for ipod touch and iphone, is that some sort of joke or Microsoft is trying to do same thing what they did in the 80’s ? (Lets steal and make business out of it)

Fortune today wrote nice article about Microsoft trying to incorporate “Microsoft Office” on Iphone and Ipod Touch as an application to “SDK”
It?s really important for us to understand what we can bring to the iPhone,? Tom Gibbons, corporate vice president of Microsoft?s Specialized Devices and Applications Group, told Fortune on Monday. ?To the extent that Mac Office customers have functionality that they need in that environment, we?re actually in the process of trying to understand that now.

@Mike: Its not about the profit its about competitors that already stole product once trying to do same thing again just in a nice way
whether that is Microsoft, Apple, Cisco, Linksys …..
this is not stealing, it’s taking a product and adding to it. it’s like those ipod skins not made by apple. their making money off of ipods.
this is similar to safari being downloaded when asked to update itunes. I know tons of people who now own PCs, and now have safari and they don’t know how. Apples doing the same thing with microsoft. It’s all fair.
