Things You’ll Love About Firefox 3

There are things you might hate about Firefox but thats about to change with Firefox 3.

Easier Downloads:  Firefox3 will include url where you downloaded file from not just the file name.

Enhanced Address Bar: Listing visited and bookmarked blogs and websites now made easy. When you type (L) all sites you visited starting with L like for example LiveCrunch will be now listed with Name and URL.

Bookmarks:Place organizer helps you organize your bookmarks the way you want it.

Memory: Remember Firefox 1.0? It used so much memory that people had to uninstall and switch to IE6! Firefox 2.0 showed improvement, but with Firefox 3.0 you will not feel any memory usage.

  1. Firefox 3 is wonderful, I really like using it, the address bar is quite amazing. The downloads could use a little sprucing up but all around it is nice. All in all, from what I have seen though memory usage is about the same, at least for now.

  2. What I would like to see is a requirement for add-on authors to pass some sort of memory allocation test before allowing a release. Most of the memory usage in FF is caused by add-ons using un-godly amounts of RAM just to provide a simple service.
