Free Grayware Spyware Virus Scan Websites

What if your anti-virus gets disabled or expired and you don’t have software to scan for viruses, spywares and graywares what would you do?

This happens a lot even to my friends which call me every now and then asking for advice.

I always tell them go online and search for free online scann. They found some but are they really good ?

Here is the list of websites I have tested my self with new viruses and old viruses as well as for spyware.

Trendmicro – Cool website little bit slow but it works. It took me about 3 hours to scann 200gb hard drive

Kaspersky – Finds all kind of viruses and also spyware but it does not remove them, it shows you where they are located at. I would recommend this only to people with some good pc knowledge

BitDefender – This is one of my favorite virus scanner, it will work on Internet Explorer but not for Firefox (I am Firefox Addict!)

Here are two most powerfull virus scanners that are offered for free and I recommend to all my friends that don’t want to purchase antivirus scanners like Panda, Nod32, Norton etc..

• Avast – Fast and free we like that all, this particular antivirus finds almost every virus there is.
• AVG
  – Free antivirus software that is very good but takes about 2-3 hours to scan everything, It saved a lot of my friends from getting their PC ripped off by Best Buy GeeK Squad
